Hallo zusammen, ich heisse Stephan Bamert und bin seit 39 Jahren Angehöriger der Kantonspolizei Zürich in der Schweiz. Nach vielen Jahren bei der Verkehrspolizei und einigen Jahren als Stationierter auf einer Polizeistation, wechselte ich im Sommer 2008 zum Kriminaltechnischen Einsatzdienst wo ich nun seit dem 1. Dezember 2011 als Fachbereichsleiter tätig bin.

Der Kanton Zürich liegt im Nordosten der Schweiz und hat eine Fläche vom 1’728.75 km2 sowie 1’577’000 Einwohner (2022) in 160 Städten und Gemeinden. Die Kantonspolizei Zürich beschäftigt 3’835 Mitarbeitende. Davon sind 2’383 Korpsangehörige und 669 Zivilangestellte. Für die Sicherheitskontrollen am Flughafen Zürich-Kloten werden 783 Sicherheitsbeauftragte als Teilzeitangestellte je nach Bedarf eingesetzt (Stand: Dezember 2021).

After many years at the Trafficpolice and as a Detective Sergeant on an Policestation in the proximity of the City of Zurich, now I have changed in summer 2008 to the Crime Scene Investigation and since December 1th 2011 as the Section Head.

The State of Zurich is located in the north-east of Switzerland and has a surface of 1’728.75 km2. and a population of 1’577’000 inhabitants (2022) in 160 towns and Cities. The Zurich Statepolice employed 3’835 employees. Of These, 2’383 sworn officers and 669 civilian employees. For security checks at Zurich-Airport 783 security officers are employed as part-time employees as needed (at december 2020).

Mein Hobby ist das Sammeln von Armabzeichen der verschiedensten Polizeikorps auf der ganzen Welt. Momentan habe ich über 22’275 Abzeichen aus 172 Ländern in meiner Sammlung. Aus der Schweiz besitze ich über 2’100 verschiedene Abzeichen.

My hobby is collecting different Police Patches from all over the world. I have now over 22’275 pieces from 172 countries. From Switzerland I have over 2’100 different Patches in my collection.
